Images can be captured from practically any video source; composite video, SVHS, SCSI, twain, USB and RGB. Using various acquisition devices such as Canon, Hitachi, Sony, Nikon and JVC cameras. There are options for fundus cameras, slit lamps as well as Operating Microscopes to capture colour, fluorescein and ICG images.

EyeCapTM  Digital has been specifically designed to work with the Canon CR6 Non-Mydriatic fundus camera fitted with the EOS D series of digital camera backs, to capture high quality colour images with a resolution of 3072 x 2048 pixles. The noise reduction algorithms of the digital camera and the display of the image in EyeCap produce results with superb colour fidelity and accuracy that further enhance the image quality.
