What is UltraQ™ Technology?

The UltraQ™ technology is currently the latest technology for Nd:YAG laser cavities. It improves efficiency in photodisruption by achieving the required tissue damage for less energy output. This is achieved through the cavity's low optical breakdown energy characteristics. This feature also minimises the risk of pitting an intraocular lens (IOL), especially those made of silicone material, which have a lower damage threshold compared to other IOL materials (such as polymethyl-methacrylate(PMMA)).
